Haryana Bharat Vikas Foundation

In the Year 1990, Bharat Vikas Parishad (Mother Organization) had started a project to uplift viklangs which was named 'Viklang Punarvas & Sahayata Yojna'.

The first Viklang kendra was established in Dilshad Garden at Delhi and it spread day by day by increasing its number to 13 all over India such as Delhi , Hisar , Ludhiana, Nagrota, Muradabad, Kota, Indore, Ahmadabad, Gohati, Patna, Puna, Cochin and Hyderabad.

Bharat Vikas Parishad started Hisar Kendra on 13th May, 1999 as a unit of Haryana Bharat Vikas Foundation , Hisar which is a registered body under societies registration act XXI of 1860.This centre is Dedicated to upliftment of viklang persons.The centre is meant for entire Haryana state and is backed by very active and powerful branch network of Bharat vikas Parishad,a social and cultural organization of national repute.The viklang centre has major projects as follows:-

1.    Viklang Sahayata : It houses a well-furnished,Modern workshop for manufacturing artificial limbs based on Jaipur foot technology. We manufacture Artificial Hands/Legs , polio Calipers, Ortho Shoes and Crutches etc. & distribute these fitments to needy persons free of cost through camps organisd throughout Haryana & also to the patients who come directly at the centre. So far we have distributed 6604 Artificial Limbs/Appliances free of cost to 4083 viklang persons of Hisar and Haryana state during the last 7 years (upto 2005-06).

2.    Polio Operation & Eye Operation Camp : Polio operations are conducted to those patients whose legs become conractures so that they may be able to walk easily. The operations are carried out with the help of donations received from well to do donors. We have operated 376 polio patients and one eye camp has been conducted with 78 catract operations successfully uptill now.

3.    Rehabilitation Activities : We are providing vocational training to viklangs & Poor students in various trades such as Computer course , Dress making, Electric motor winding & Radio/TV Repairing, Chalk & Candle making which are run under various Govt. schemes with the active help of Distt. Social & Welfare Deptt. & Govt. Polytechnic ,Hisar. So far we have given Vocational training to 239 viklang persons in last 7 years and proper certificates from Govt. Polytechnic College, Hisar are issued to them and they also pay grant @ 250/- per month to each viklang candidate. 60 viklang candidates have taken training in computer course, 35 viklang students have taken training in silai course. Most of these candidates have been on jobs or are runing their own private shops.

4.    Guidance to Viklang persons to avail Govt. Facility :
(i)     Through camps.Whenever it is compaign.
(ii)    Through this centre as and when the viklang patients attend the workshop.

Our centre has been included in the list of recognized NGO's working for welfare of Viklangs by Haryana Govt. The Centre is also a member of Distt. Advisory committee constituted for the purpose.

Donations of our society are Exempted under section 80-G of Income Tax.

Our Centre is registered with Distt. Hisar under Act 52 of 1995 vide no. 02 dt. 27/06/02.

Presently our sources of funds are only by donations from public. We want to search each & every viklang of Haryana state to make him physically & economically self reliant.

We have got experienced technical staff to make artificial limbs for viklang in our modern workshop.

In our Centre 5 to 6 viklangs are given training in Computer course/Silai Course with the help of Central Govt. PWD schemes free of cost.

This centre also makes the viklangs to understand about Govt. schemes such as viklang certificates , pension, bus and railway pass as well as loan from recognized banks at lower rates.
